Team India captain Rohit Sharma skipped the Ram mandir consecration ceremony at Ayodhya for IND vs ENG 1st Test set to commence on January 25 in Hyderabad.
Rohit along with Shreyas Iyer landed in Hyderabad on Sunday night and will take part in closed-door training session on Monday at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium.
Rohit, reportedly had an early morning session in nets at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium ahead of IND vs ENG 1st Test.
Notably, former India skipper Virat Kohli, who landed in the City of Pearls on Sunday morning, attended the auspicious Pran Pratishtha at Ayodhya on Monday. Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja also attended the event.

India will look to continue their dominating run at home when they will face England for a 5-match Test series.
Meanwhile, Ben Stokes-led England side will be aiming their first Test series win in India since 2012.
