Rohit Sharma sets eyes on Asia Cup 2023, sweats hard in GYM

Rohit Sharma has scored only one hundred in the last nine ODI matches.

Rohit Sharma: After a small break, Rohit Sharma has hit the gym ahead of Asia Cup 2023. With less than 20 days left for Continental Cup, the team India skipper was seen sweating it out in training session doing cardio exercises. India kick off Asia Cup by facing arch-rivals Pakistan on September 2 in Kandy. All eyes will be on Rohit Sharma, as the way he sets the tempo will decide the way the match goes.

The opening batter warmed up in the gym by concentrating on weightlifting, leg exercise, and cardio. Rohit Sharma was also in his element as he had a good laugh with the trainers. The Asia Cup will be vital for the 36-year-old as he has not got much match practice during the ODI series against West Indies.

With only eight ODIs left for ODI World Cup, the skipper would be eager to hit the straps in the Continental Cup. One massive boost for India is they will have the likes of Jasprit Bumrah and KL Rahul for the Asia Cup. Rahul’s presence provides massive balance to the team, while Bumrah’s inclusion will solve death bowling woes. India are placed in Group A along with Pakistan and Nepal in Asia Cup.
