Rohit Sharma plays his 250th ODI, 450th international match in Asia Cup Final

Rohit is just the fifth India player to play 450 international matches.

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma will break two more records after he takes the field for the IND vs SL Asia Cup 2023 Final. Rohit, who made his international debut in 2007, will become 9th Indian player to play 250 ODIs and just the 5th Indian to play 450 international matches for India.

The opener will join an illustrious list which features legends of the games like Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni and Anil Kumble among others.

This will be one of the several records Rohit has broken in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023. A few days ago, he became just the 15th man to score 10,000 ODI runs and the second-quickest to do so (241 innings).

Rohit will also become the batter with the second most runs after 250 ODIs, behind just Virat Kohli (12311 runs). No players other than Rohit and Kohli have ever made 10,000 or more runs after playing 250 ODIs.

Rohit Sharma becomes the 5th Indian to play 450 matches

However, the second record Rohit broke is even more exclusive. Rohit is just the fifth Indian batter to play 450 or more matches for India and the first opener to do so.
