Rajat Patidar is having a great time playing for Royal Challenges Bengaluru (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. He has scored two half-centuries so far, one of which nearly lifted RCB to victory in a thrilling last-ball match at Eden Gardens on Sunday. However, RCB could not get themselves over the line, losing by a single run.
After being set a target of 222 for 6 by KKR, Patidar scored 52 runs in just 23 balls and put RCB on track with 102 runs quickly with Will Jacks (55 off 32), before both set batters fell in the 12th over.
Patidar in a video posted by RCB revealed Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli as his idols. He also revealed an instance where Kohli texted him after he was picked for RCB.
“Virat bhaiya and Rohit bhaiya are my Inspirations and idols,” Patidar said.

He also revealed an incident when Kohli texted him after he was picked to play for RCB.
“I got a message from Virat bhaiya after getting picked by RCB – he said ‘Hi, I am Virat here’. I got pleasantly surprised. I felt like I had achieved everything when Virat bhaiya sent me a text on WhatsApp“.
