Team India skipper Rohit Sharma is on the verge of surpassing former India captain MS Dhoni on Wednesday at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in the IND vs AFG 3rd T20I.
Rohit, who returned to T20Is after a gap of over 14 months has a chance to over MS Dhoni and become India’s most successful captain in T20Is.
Currently, Rohit has 41 wins in 53 matches and a win in 3rd T20I will push him over MS Dhoni on top, who also has 41 wins.
While Dhoni captained the Indian side in 73 matches, Rohit Sharma registered 41 wins in 53 games he captained so far.
Virat Kohli is third on the list with 30 wins in 50 matches.
While Rohit would be eyeing his 42nd win in T20Is, he would also be aiming to avoid an unwanted record on Wednesday.

The 36-year-old, who has registered two back-to-back ducks in the the series so far, is on the verge of equaling Paul Sterling’s record of most ducks in the shortest format.
Rohit currently has 12 ducks in T20I format and another duck will put him equal to Sterling’s record who has 13 ducks in this format.
