Rohit Sharma on the verge of a record he’d rather not have in IPL 2025

Rohit Sharma is one of the most experienced players in IPL currently. He has so many records, but this one record he would avoid.

Mumbai Indians’ ex-captain and star player, Rohit Sharma, is all set for the IPL 2025. After winning the Champions Trophy, the batter is looking confident and must be aiming for a historic sixth title for the Mumbai Indians. He is among the very few players who have been playing in the IPL since its inaugural season in 2008. Yes, he has so many records to his name in the IPL, but there is one record he would never want in his name.

Rohit Sharma near unwanted record

Rohit Sharma could become the batsman to get out the most number of times for a duck in the IPL. Right now, Glenn Maxwell and Dinesh Karthik hold the record, having been dismissed 18 times for a duck in the IPL. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma has been out for a duck 18 times in the 257 matches he has played. If Rohit Sharma gets dismissed twice more for a duck, he will become the batsman with the most ducks in the IPL. In that case, Maxwell, who is playing for Punjab, also needs to be careful not to be dismissed for zero.
