Rohit Sharma meets with superstar musician Ed Sheeran ahead of IPL 2024

The musician is currently on a tour of India and has met cricketers and famous actors in the last few days.

Perfect! No, not the famous song by Ed Sheeran, but the description of the recently shared image online in which the famous musician was spotted alongside current Indian skipper Rohit Sharma. The British singer is currently living every Indian person’s dream.

The famous singer met with legendary Indian actor Shahrukh Khan just a couple of days ago and has previously met Gujarat Titans (GT) skipper Shubman Gill in Mumbai. Now, just days before the IPL 2024 season opener against GT on March 24, he’s added the former Mumbai Indians’ skipper Rohit Sharma to the already illustrious list as well.

What lies ahead for Rohit Sharma at MI?

Having been stripped of his captaincy, the five-time champion will have a point to prove in the 2024 season. The opener’s performance in the past few seasons hasn’t been up to mark and he’ll look to rectify it now that he’s no longer undroppable.

Since 2015, Rohit’s strike rate hasn’t touched the 135 mark, and his average has been under 30 for the last seven seasons. Luckily for him, he has found success in T20I. Making his comeback to the shortest format in international cricket, he struck a magnificent 121* and showed his critics that he’s still very much in contention to be among the best T20 batters.

Now, with his first IPL season without being captain in 10 years and the T20 World Cup 2024 approaching, the opener will be aiming for a blockbuster season with the bat.
