On Wednesday, October 4, India captain Rohit Sharma had an exciting meeting with former WWE wrestler The Great Khali at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The meeting took place during the All Captain’s Meet ahead of the World Cup 2023 opener, and it became the highlight of the event. The ICC also shared a ‘behind the scenes’ on their social media accounts as the captains’ prepared for a photoshoot.

During the photoshoot, Rohit Sharma and the other captains had the opportunity to meet and interact with The Great Khali. Khali joined all the team captains for a photo session, and during this special occasion, Rohit Sharma presented him with a World Cup 2023 t-shirt as a gesture of appreciation and camaraderie. Rohit Sharma-led Team India will begin their campaign against Australia on Oct 8

Following the All Captain’s Meeting, Rohit Sharma has now joined the remainder of the squad in Chennai, where they are set to kick off their World Cup journey by facing Australia on October 8.

As a part of their preparations for the ICC World Cup hosted in India, the home team had to cover a significant distance, traveling approximately 3,400 kilometers from one corner of the country to another.
