Indian captain Rohit Sharma suffered an hamstring injury scare during the 1st innings of IND vs PAK in Dubai

India cricket team captain Rohit Sharma provided an update on his hamstring after suffering a scare during IND vs PAK in Dubai on Sunday. The Hitman was off the field for about ten overs in the 1st innings while he left his deputy Shubman Gill in-charge. The Men in Blue handed arch-rivals Pakistan a 6-wicket thrashing to pick up their second win in ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

At the post-match presentation, Rohit revealed that his hamstring was okay at the moment. The Indian skipper suffered the scare following the departure of Babar Azam in the 1st innings. While he did return to the middle after staying off the field for at least 10 overs, he looked uncomfortable. He was seen slightly in discomfort for the remainder of the innings.

It (hamstring) is okay at the moment,” Rohit said on being asked about his injury scare.

Menawhile, India managed to chase down the 242-run target in just 42 overs, handing hosts Pakistan their second defeat of the tournament. Virat Kohli slamnmed his 51st ODI century and stayed unbeaten at the end to get India across the line comfortably. Skipper Rohit Sharma heaped praise on the side for functioning like a well-oiled unit.

The way we started with the ball was superb.To restrict them to that kind of a score was a great effort from the bowling unit. We knew it gets slightly better to bat under lights, gets slower as well. We wanted to back the experience that we have in our batting line-up to go out there and get those runs,” Rohit said.
