Rohit Sharma in ‘switch off and reset’ mode with family ahead of India vs Sri Lanka ODIs

Rohit Sharma is on a break after the Men in Blue ended their ICC trophy drought after winning the T20 World Cup

India cricket team skipper Rohit Sharma is currently enjoying his time away from the game along with his family as he is on vacation. The side will take on Sri Lanka in a three-match T20I and ODI series which will see the return of the Hitman for the 50-over format. The Indian skipper is on a break after the Men in Blue ended their ICC trophy drought after winning the T20 World Cup.

India will take on Sri Lanka from July 27 onwards, with the T20I series at the beginning. The ODI leg of the tour will commence from August 2.

Rohit Sharma was reportedly requested by new head coach Gautam Gambhir to participate in the ODI series vs Sri Lanka. Gambhir’s request to the trio of Bumrah-Rohit-Kohli saw the two batting maestros decide to end their vacation and be a part of the ODI side while the premium pacer got an extended break. Rohit Sharma will return as the side’s skipper as India commence their journey towards the Champions Trophy 2025.
