After an embarrassing defeat in the Boxing Day Test at Centurion, members of the Team India, led by Rohit Sharma took part in the optional training session in Centurion to prepare for the IND vs SA 2nd Test.
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, who had a disappointing outing both as a batter and captain, had a long batting session in nets.
The 36-year-old notched up scores of 5 and 0 in the Boxing Day Test, falling victim to South African pacer Kagiso Rabada in both innings.
Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah skip optional session
Meanwhile, star Indian batter Virat Kohli, who was the lone fighter for Team India in second innings, skipped the optional session along with Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul and Mohammad Siraj.

Indian pacer Prasidh Krishna, who had a disastrous outing in his Test debut, also grilled hard in nets under the monitoring of bowling coach Paras Mhambrey and head coach Rahul Dravid.
The second and final IND vs SA Test is scheduled to be played at Newlands Stadium, Cape Town between January 3-7.
