Washington was in full flow before the goof-up happened. He’d already sent two set batters, Avishka Fernando and Kusal Mendis, back to pavillion in successive deliveries and given India the upper hand. With just all-rounders and tail-enders left, he looked to finish things off. The hurry led to him miscalculating and messing up his run-up twice, following which Rohit funnily charged at him while the commentators and all the Indian players laughed.
