The right-handed batter scored 65 runs off just 45 balls before he was scalped by pacer Mustafizur Rahman. The MI skipper was looking extremely comfortable in the middle but he failed to finish the game for the five-time champions. The match came down right to the wire as Mumbai required just 5 runs to win. Anrich Nortje bowled an excellent over as the visitors required two runs off the final ball. However, Tim David kept his calm and put a dive to complete the second run as the five-time champions completed a thrilling victory.

“Probably expected it (the game) to finish a lot earlier, but happy we ended up on the right side. I didn’t wanna cramp (last ball), took the helmet off and I knew there was two there and thankfully it came off. The conversation (when I went to bat) was to hit 2-3 boundaries and thankfully it came off,” MI’s all-rounder Cameron Green said after the match.
