Rohit Sharma falters yet again, lukewarm form continues in IND vs ENG Ranchi Test

IND vs ENG 4th Test: Rohit Sharma continues to struggle with form, departs cheaply in Ranchi TEst

India Cricket Team skipper Rohit Sharma fumbled with the bat yet again. The hitman has been in lukewarm form off later. Save the 131 in Rajkot he hasn’t managed a single fifty in the IND vs ENG Test series. A similar trend followed when he dismissed for just 2 runs in the IND vs ENG Ranchi Test.

England’s most dependable bowler James Anderson struck early to dismiss the Indian skipper. England piled up a huge score of 353 runs in the first innings. India hoping for a great start fumbled. A slight nick from a dangerous ball by James Anderson was enough to dispatch Rohit Sharma.

Post the ODI World Cup, Rohit Sharma’s form has seen a substantial dip in Test cricket. The same was observed during the India tour of South Africa. Come the IND vs ENG series, he managed just a century in Rajkot, save that his highest remains 39 in the Hyderabad Test.

With this wicket James Anderson is inching closer to a mega record. He is now just 3 wickets shy of scalping 700 Test wickets. He will become only the third bowler to scalp 700 wickets in red ball cricket if he managed 3 more wickets. A clever ball nipping towards the batter, saw Rohit give a slight edge, as Ben Foakes takes a simple catch to claim the big fish. In Tests, it was the 4th time that Anderson has scalped Rohit.
