No practice session for India ahead of IND vs CAN as rain forces Rohit Sharma & co to stay indoor

Team India opted for a gym session instead of outdoor training ahead of the IND vs CAN clash, possibly due to rains in Florida

Members of the India cricket team weren’t able to attend the practice session on Friday ahead of the IND vs CAN clash owing to rain. The Men in Blue instead opted for a gym session before their final group stage match at Lauderhill, Florida. The game is currently under threat due to rain. India have already qualified for the Super 8 stage.

How a practice session could have helped Virat Kohli?

The practice session could have come of good use to some of the players ahead of the Super 8 stage. Batting maestro Virat Kohli is one of the stars who could use some practice ahead of the crucial stage of the tournament, given his lean form in the tournament so far.

Kohli first missed the warm-up game against Bangladesh, owing to his late arrival in the USA. The batting maestro faced an epic failure in India’s first group stage game against Ireland as he was dismissed for just one run. In the next game against Pakistan, Kohli only managed to get four runs before he walked back to the pavilion.

It went from bad to worse for the former skipper as he was dismissed for a golden duck in the game against USA.
