India cricket team skipper Rohit Sharma's poor form in ICC tournament finals continues as he departed after scoring just 9 runs vs SA

It all ended even before it even started for India cricket team skipper Rohit Sharma in the T20 World Cup final against South Africa. After striking two boundaries off Keshav Maharaj’s very first over, the Hitman was forced to walk back to the pavilion, courtesy of a brilliant catch from Heinrich Klaasen. The Indian skipper departed after scoring just 9 runs, which included two boundaries.

Rohit Sharma’s record of poor outings in finals of ICC events continues with his latest knock against South Africa. India needed both openers Kohli and Rohit to go all guns blazing in order to give a strong start without losing wickets.

So far, Rohit’s highest score for India in a final is 47 runs which came against Australia in the ODI World Cup final where the Men in Blue faced a heartbreaking defeat at the hands of Pat Cummins and co.
