Team India’s ODI and Test skipper Rohit Sharma has been blessed with a baby boy on Friday, November 15. The Hitman was scheduled to miss the IND vs AUS (BGT) 1st Test in Perth owing to personal reasons. However, it has come to the fore that Rohit Sharma has witnessed the birth of his second child, much before when it was anticipated.
Rohit Sharma now becomes a father for 2nd time!
Rohit Sharma and his wife Ritika Sajdeh are already parents to daughter Samaira (born 2018) but have so far kept the news of their new baby boy secret from all. Ritika’s pregnancy had remained private until recent speculation surrounding Rohit’s availability for the 1st Test in Perth revealed the news. With their new addition arrived, attention turns to Rohit’s return to the team. Will he join in time for the series opener? His absence could challenge Team India, but the joy of welcoming a new life takes priority. All eyes are on Rohit’s ability to balance family duties with cricket commitments ahead of the all-important BGT.

Rohit Sharma to play 1st BGT Test?
It would be fair to say that Rohit has welcomed his new baby boy a little earlier than what many expected. He has decided to stay with his wife in these heartwarming times, which is truly commendable and justified. However, this now leaves an opportunity for him to take a call on the participation for the opening Test against Australia. The Perth challenge will start in six days from now. If reports are to be believed, Rohit would be on his way to Perth soon in order to play that first delivery for India on the much-awaited tour.
While India head coach Gautam Gambhir stated that there is no confirmation for Rohit to play the first Test, it is being reported that the BCCI will be keeping all the arrangements in check for Rohit.
