Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma are going strong on Day 2 of the IND vs WI 1st Test. The pair scored fifties in first session and are strongly moving closer towards well deserved centuries. The duo has set a few records with their unbeaten partnership and one of the biggest one came with 151st run.

Jaiswal and Rohit took India to lead with their big unbeaten stand which is the first time in team’s history.
For the first time in Test history, India took the lead in the first innings without losing a wicket.
Jaiswal-Rohit break 17-year record
Jaiswal and Rohit continued from where they left off on Day 1. The duo completed their fifties before lunch.
The duo then registered the highest-ever opening partnership against West Indies in the history of Test cricket, breaking 17-year-old record.
The duo surpassed the previous record held by Wasim Jaffer and Virender Sehwag’s 159-run opening partnership against West Indies in 2006 at St Lucia.
Alick Athanaze ends Rohit-Jaiswal’s mayhem
Both Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma completed brilliant centuries before West Indies gets the breakthrough. Rohit Sharma, who completed his 10th ton, was dismissed by Alick Athanaze in the very next ball.
Jomel Warrican then gets into act and took the wicket of Shubman Gill.
Earlier on Day 1, Ravichandran Ashwin’s 5-fer put India in control as West Indies got bundled out for 150.
