Rohan Bopanna richer by a million dollars in 2023, Sumit Nagal adds $120,707

Rohan Bopanna ended up as runners-up at the US Open partnering with Matthew Ebden, jointly winning approximately $375,000.

Tennis is not just an expensive sport, but is equally rewarding too, at least for some of the top players in the world, who can earn millions of dollars only through prize money. As per the various records and data collected for different sources, Perfecttennis.com revealed that Rohan Bopanna earned the highest prize money for any Indian on the tour in 2023.

Rohan Bopanna, who displayed exceptional form on the ATP tour in the year, and also reached the US Open finals with Matthew Ebden, was richer by over a million dollars in 2023. To be precise, he won USD 1,181,789 with all his performances, while his career earnings stand at USD 6,277,586. No other Indian could come close to Bopanna in terms of earnings, with the next best being Yuki Bhambri at USD 164,235.

Meanwhile, the third on the list was India’s top women’s singles player Ankita Raina, who won USD 132,722 in 2023. Sumit Nagal (120,707) and Saketh Myneni (109,084) completed the top 5 spots. As far as the world leaders are concerned, Novak Djokovic topped the charts with a massive USD 15,936,097 earned this year. In the women’s section, Iga Swiatek won USD 9,857,686, the highest of other players.
