“Rizwan mein talent nahi hai” Shoaib Akhtar’s brutal remark on Pakistan captain after Champions Trophy elimination

The criticism was expected but is now gaining momentum. After local Pakistan cricket fans slammed Rizwan's leadership, former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar delivered a blunt verdict on Pakistan's ODI captain.

Criticism of the Pakistan cricket team was expected, but it is now getting bigger and bigger as the Men in Green, who were first dismantled by New Zealand and then India, have been eliminated from the Champions Trophy. As a result, they are facing heavy backlash, and unsurprisingly, the first man under pressure is Mohammad Rizwan. The Pakistan captain, who was expected to perform well in his first ICC tournament as a leader, had a disappointing campaign.

The hosts failed to progress in the tournament, leading to widespread criticism from local fans and cricket experts alike. Now, former Pakistan pacer and well-known name Shoaib Akhtar has also slammed Pakistan’s white-ball captain, questioning his talent. In a recent viral video, Akhtar was seen criticising the Pakistan team, particularly Rizwan.

Shoaib Akhtar on Mohammad Rizwan

Shoaib Akhtar brutally questioned Rizwan’s capability to lead the team. On one hand, Mohammad Hafeez stated that the team surely has talent but lacks proper planning. However, Akhtar immediately jumped in and said, “Where is the talent? I can’t see any talent in them. Speaking about Rizwan, I have been hearing this for the past 10 years, but I haven’t seen any talent in him. If there is talent, show it on the ground, this is not a talking game.”

Pakistan out of Champions Trophy

As mentioned, after losing to New Zealand and then to India, Pakistan’s elimination was already confirmed. It was officially sealed when New Zealand decimated Bangladesh. Now, from Group A, the two semifinalists are confirmed, India and New Zealand, while there is no space left for Bangladesh and the Men in Green. Since Pakistan was the host but still failed to perform well, they are facing heavy criticism.
