A great news is coming in Rajasthan Royals’s (RR) way. Their Rs 14.00 crore retention Riyan Parag has sent a statement to all the other nine franchises. Just before the Indian Premier League (IPL), Parag hit a sensational 144* off just 64 balls in a practice match for RR.

Riyan Parag is coming on the back of a shoulder injury. He missed almost three months of cricketing action, including a four-match T20I series in South Africa. Parag returned to action with a one-off performance for Assam in Ranji Trophy.
This century in the practice game is surely a major boost for him and Rajasthan, who would need Parag’s services big time. Last year, Parag was slotted at number four, a move that paid huge dividends. At IPL 2024, Parag hit 573 runs at an average above 50 and a strike rate nearly 150.
