Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant faces the risk of getting a one-match ban in the ongoing edition of IPL 2024. The DC skipper has already been slapped with two fines for maintaining slow-over rate in the side’s last two matches. If he is found guilty yet again, he is bound to banned for a game.
Rishabh Pant to be banned?
The DC skipper barely managed to get away with the ban as they faced DC on Friday. Pant and co were behind time until the 16th over but eventually made up for it.
As per the IPL Playing Conditions, the captain is fined Rs 12 lakh for the first instance of a breach for a slow over rate. For a second infringement, the fine is doubled to Rs 24 lakh, with each and every player in the playing XI also being fined Rs 6 lakh or 25 percent of their match fees.
In case of a third offence in the same season, the fine amount goes up to Rs 30 lakh with the captain also receiving a one-match ban.
