Punjab Kings captain Shikhar Dhawan met his fellow Indian colleague and Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru on Wednesday. Due to a catastrophic accident, Pant has been out of cricketing action since late December. He has been recovering well and is expected to make a comeback next year. It’s anticipated that he will return to cricket sooner than expeced. Pant is recovering well and has already doing some strengthening exercises. After routine check-ups, doctors have ruled out the necessity for a second operation. He won’t play in the ODI World Cup, which is slated for later this year.
The BCCI official predicts that Pant’s return to cricket would happen sooner than anticipated. There were media rumours regarding many procedures and an upcoming procedure. The official refuted these assertions, saying that Pant’s advancement has beyond expectations.
Pant’s recuperation has been keenly watched, and he has already displayed promising results. His ability to walk farther without a crutch currently shows improvement in his recovery. The emphasis right now is on strength training to speed up his rehabilitation. Pant’s training should soon move into the back-to-play stage.
At first, there were worries that Pant’s rehabilitation may take many years. His recent development, nevertheless, has been encouraging. Doctors were concerned about the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) even though he had extensive surgery on the medial collateral ligament (MCL) and minimal repair on the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).
