Rishabh Pant puts all injury worries to rest, displays full range of shots at Delhi Capitals nets

Pant will look to go on and make an impact in the Delhi Capitals jersey after being out of competitive cricket for more than a year since suffering a horrific car accident.

Delhi Capitals’ captain Rishabh Pant on Thursday hit the nets for the second time to prepare for the upcoming IPL 2024. Delhi Capitals posted a video of Pant’s batting preparation on X (previously Twitter), where the southpaw can be seen practicing a range of shots. Pant seems to be at ease while batting with no signs of injuries that he has been dealing with for the past one year.

Rishabh Pant has been out of competitive cricket since December 2022 since being involved in an horrific car accident in Uttarakhand. Pant has been undergoing treatment and has been planning his comeback to cricket in IPL 2024. The National Cricket Academy (NCA) gave a fit certificate to Pant recently. The Delhi Capitals captain joined the DC camp after receiving the fit certificate.

In a video released by Delhi Capitals on X, Pant can be seen practicing various shots in the nets. Apart from his signature shot over long on, Pant can also be seen playing sweeps and reverse sweeps. Questions remained on the batter’s fitness ahead of the start of IPL 2024, but seeing Pant bat can put those questions to bed.
