It’s been over eight months since star Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant was involved in a horrific road accident. The unfortunate incident flipped Pant’s life in a matter of minutes. The southpaw went from being one of the biggest sportsmen in the country to being uncertain if he’d ever play cricket again.
Ever since that fatal accident, cricket fans have been wondering about Pant’s health and road to recovery. So, here is the timeline of the wicketkeeper’s progress since that unfortunate car crash on December 30, 2022:
How long will Rishabh Pant take to recover from his accident?
The first news to come out was that Pant had severely injured his right knee in the crash. Earlier this year, in February, the Delhi cricketer underwent ligament reconstruction surgery in Mumbai under the guidance of Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala. Such was the severity of the injury that Pant required surgery on all three ligaments in the right knee. This meant that the date for his return was unclear.
