Kolkata Knight Riders will look to bounce back to winning ways when they take the field in front of a spirited home crowd on Sunday, April 14. The Knights were handed a massive 7-wicket loss at the hands of CSK with their unbeaten run in IPL 2024 coming to an end.
Thus ahead of their highly contested clash against LSG, the KKR players took some time out from their routines. Varun Chakaravarthy, Rinku Singh, Anukul Roy, and Venkatesh Iyer were spotted seeking the blessing at the Kalighat Temple.
KKR in IPL 2024:
Although the loss to CSk, made a bump in their run, KKR made a great start to the tournament. The team right now stand in the 2nd spot of the IPL 2024 standings. Gautam Gambhir’s return to KKR, this time as a mentor, has made a remarkable impact on the team. Gambhir’s influence persuaded Sunil Narine, the West Indies veteran, to take up the role of opening batsman.

This decision paid off handsomely, with Narine delivering two match-winning performances out of three games. His standout innings included a blazing 85 off 39 balls against DC and a quickfire 45 off 22 balls against RCB.
However, concerns arise from the inconsistent performances of the middle order. Shreyas Iyer and Ramandeep Singh’s lacklustre form, alongside Rinku Singh’s sporadic contributions, remain areas of improvement. Despite Rinku’s brief cameo of 26 off 8 balls against DC, his overall tally stands at a mere 54 runs.
