Richard Kettleborough to not officiate in IND vs SA Test series as ICC names replacement

The IND vs SA 1st Test match will be played at the SuperSport Park in Centurion from December 26 (Tuesday) onwards.

Elite umpire Richard Kettleborough will not be officiating in the upcoming IND vs SA Test series. Earlier, Kettleborough was named to be the on-field umpire for both the first and second Test match alongside Paul Reiffel and Ahsan Raza. However, Kettleborough has now been replaced by Langton Rusere for both games.

India yet to win Test series in SA

Team India are yet to win a Test series in South Africa. The visitors came close under MS Dhoni’s leadership in 2010-11, but could not cross the finishing line as the third and deciding Test ended in a draw. The world number 1 Test side will be looking to make amends this time around.

As stated above, the IND vs SA 1st Test match will be played at the SuperSport Park in Centurion from December 26 (Tuesday) onwards. Skipper Rohit Sharma will be looking to etch history after becoming the first ever Indian captain to win a Test series against the Proteas on their home turf.
