Rohit Sharma and Co. completed a thumping win over New Zealand as they reached the final’s of the ongoing World Cup. The Men in Blue completed a dominating performance over New Zealand as the Kiwis fell short of the target by a huge margin of 70 runs. Under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, team India also completed their revenge of the 2019 World Cup against the Blackcaps. It must be mentioned that team India is still undefeated in the World Cup as they are now just one win away from lifting the prized trophy.

Shami was brilliant with the ball: Rohit Sharma

“Yeah. Obviously. I have played a lot of cricket here. So I know whatever score we get, we can’t be relaxed. But we know there will be partnerships but we had to stay calm. These things are bound to happen but I’m glad that we came out on top,” said Indian skipper Rohit Sharma.

“Obviously, when the scoring rate is above nine all the time, you have to take chances. Sometimes it takes off. Sometimes it doesn’t. We didn’t take those chances. Williamson and Mitchell played brilliantly. The crowd went completely silent but we knew we had to create some magic. We tried everything but nothing worked. But Shami was brilliant,” said Rohit.

That’s gotta do a lot with the form that these guys are in. The top five batters have made it count. We all know what Iyer has done for us in this tournament. Gill also gave us a start but had to walk off due to cramps. Kohli also is doing what he does best. His trademark innings,” Rohit added.
