Revealed! Dhruv Jurel to wear this Test jersey number after India vs England surprise call-up

Jurel has played 15 first-class matches and averages 46.47, with one century and five fifties to his name.

Dhruv Jurel is living the dream. After receiving a surprise maiden Test call-up for the India vs England Test series, the 22-year-old has also shared his Test jersey number. Jurel was picked ahead of Ishan Kishan, who is currently on a break from cricket and joins KS Bharat and KL Rahul as the third wicketkeeper in the team.

Jurel, who plays for the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, revealed his Test jersey number through their social media handle. While not much is known about the significance of ‘number 16’ for the cricketer, it is certain that he won’t care about his jersey number but rather will be ecstatic about getting the jersey in the first place.
