England’s fast bowler Ollie Robinson has revealed that head coach Brendon McCullum and skipper Ben Stokes have made it clear to team in many occasions that the results are irrelevant.
“The message that keeps coming from Ben (Stokes) and Baz (Brendon McCullum) is that results are irrelevant to us, it’s the way that we play”, Ollie Robinson said in his column for the Wisden.
Against all odds, England’s new ‘Bazball’ play has kept hosts India and the series on edge in the first two Tests.
While the England’s fearless approach led them to an astonishing win in Hyderabad, their unshakeable belief to chase down anything made India sweat at Vizag.
Despite the loss in second Test, Robinson said that the side will continue to play their ‘brand of cricket’.
“The way that we’re playing and the brand of cricket that we play is how we want to be seen and perceived”, the English pacer further wrote.
Ollie Robinson is yet be part of the playing XI for England in the ongoing series. He sits out for the 3rd Test in Rajkot from February 15.
