In what is a huge boost for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Josh Hazlewood has joined the camp ahead of IPL 2025. The Australian pacer had been on the sidelines for the last 3-4 months owing to a hamstring injury and even missed the ICC Champions Trophy.
Josh Hazlewood boost for RCB
Hazllewood was previously a part of RCB in 2022 and 2023 where he picked up 18 and 1 wickets respectively. The Australian missed the IPL 2024 season and was subsequently released by the franchise before the IPL 2025 mega auction.
RCB rated the pacer highly and paid a big sum for him in Jeddah. He will now join the likes of Bhuneshwar Kumar and Lungi Ngidi to boost Bengaluru’s pace unit in the upcoming season.
For the record, Hazlewood has played 107 T20 games and picked up 136 wickets. What is even better, is his economy rate of only 7.51. IN IPL’s 27 matches, he has picked up 35 wickets, at an economy of 8.05.
