Travis Head does a Chris Gayle at Chinnaswamy
Immediately after the century, the Head copied the celebration of RCB stalwart Chris Gayle. He removed his helmet, and balanced the helmet on the bat handle. Hitting all around the park, Head attacked at a strike rate of 248.78. Head’s innings was filled with exquisite shots to the fence, with nine boundaries and eight sixes.
Chris Gayle’s similar celebration after century
Chris Gayle has celebrated in a similar manner after scoring a century at the Chinnaswamy stadium. Gayle had scored the fastest 100 at the Chinnaswamy stadium against the Pune Warriors at the same venue. Scoring the century off 66 balls, he guided RCB to the highest total in IPL back then, 263 runs. The record was made more than 10 years ago, on April 23, 2013.
