Royal Challengers Bengaluru pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar became the joint highest wicket-taker among pacers in IPL on Wednesday. The veteran pacer, who moved from SRH to RCB in IPL 2025, continues to impress with his ability to make the batters dance in the powerplay. He now needs just one more wicket to surpass Dwayne Bravo to become the pacer with most wickets in IPL.
Bhuvi one wicket away from creating history
Bhuvneshwar was the most economic RCB bowler in the clash against GT. He completed his quota of 4 overs with figures of 1/23. He struck in the powerplay once again to remove GT skipper Shubman Gill. With 183 wickets to his name in IPL so far, Kumar needs just one more wicket to overtake Bravo and become the third leading wicket-taker in IPL.

RCB no match for GT
GT demolished RCB by 8 wickets to storm to their second successive win in IPL 2025. Chasing 170 at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, GT romped home with plenty to spare.
Buttler, Sudharsan and Siraj were the architects of a fine 8-wicket victory for the Titans. Gill was dismissed for a run-a-ball 14 by Bhuvneshwar but there was no looking back for GT from thereon. A 75-run stand between Buttler and Sudharsan put them on course for a big win.
Buttler continued his fine form this summer and followed up scores of 54 and 39 with another half-century while Sherfane Rutherford walked in to finish what the side started at the top of the game, thanks to a fiery Siraj.
