RCB worst performing bowling team in powerplay in IPL 2024

Sunrisers Hyderabad mounted on RCB's powerplay woes, with Travis Head and Abhishek smashing the bowlers for 76 runs in powerplay

Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s bowling has been horrible in the powerplay overs in IPL 2024. This form continued in their home game against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Despite dropping Mohammed Siraj and Glenn Maxwell, the side conceded 76 runs in the powerplay.

RCB are at the bottom of the table that indicates how well teams have fared in the powerplay in IPL 2024. They have managed to take only 10 wickets in the first six overs in this edition of the tournament so far and have bowled at an economy rate of 10.19.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s Will Jacks bowled brilliantly in his first 2 overs, conceding just seven and four. However, Travis Head attacked Reece Topley for 20 runs in the second over. Yash Dayal was also smashed for 20 runs in the sixth over of SRH’s innings. Travis Head completed his half century in the powerplay in just 21 deliveries. While Abhishek Sharma hit 23 in 15 deliveries.
