RCB vs KKR LIVE – IPL 2021: Sri Lanka players unavailable – In what comes as a blow for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), they will miss the Sri Lankan players owing to national team commitments. RCB confirmed the departures of both Wanindu Hasaranga and Dushmantha Chameera, as per their NOC, meaning the duo will missed the playoffs on Monday as they join the T20 World Cup camp.

RCB confirmed in an announcement online that Wanindu Hasaranga and Dushmantha Chammerra will be leaving the bio-bubble to join up with the Sri Lankan squad for their warm-up games ahead of the T20 World Cup.

“Wanindu Hasaranga & Dushmantha Chameera have been released from the RCB bio bubble as they join up with the SL team for their #WT20 qualifiers. We wish both of them the best & thank them for their professionalism & hard work during #IPL2021, ” RCB said in the statement.
Insidesport.in had earlier reported that Wanindu Hasaranga and Dushmantha Chameera will not be available for the IPL 2021 playoffs, having been asked to adhere to the terms of their NOC.
While Sri Lanka Cricket officials didn’t respond directly to queries on whether Wanindu Hasaranga and Dushmantha Chameera will be available for the remainder of IPL 2021, the official said both were given the NOC (No Objection Certificate) on conditions that they will join the Sri Lanka T20 World Cup squad in Oman for preparations and they expect the two RCB stars to adhere to that.
“Hasaranga and Chameera had been asked to join the Sri Lanka team by October 10. That was what we agreed on and it still stands. We expect them to join the squad soon,” an SLC official told InsideSport on Sunday.

Wanindu Hasaranga confirmed the same on Instagram, posting his farewell message ahead of the Eliminator against Kolkata Knight Riders. He wrote, “Here’s saying a heartfelt thank you and wishing my family/team mates at @royalchallengersbangalore all the best for the playoffs. This is probably the year we win it all. This experience has been amazing, from team to management to everything. There is a strong bond of brotherhood and friendship we share here. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity. Go well RCB 💪.”

“The two players will join the Sri Lanka squad on 10th October 2021 to play in the two warm-up games prior to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers,” the SLC statement said on their IPL participation.

Shakib and RR’s Mustafizur Rahman were asked to join the squad. Bangladesh are in the first round of T20 World Cup and will begin their campaign against Scotland on October 17 in Oman.
Bangladesh players to join camp in Abu Dhabi – Shakib Al Hasan, Bangladesh’s premier all-rounder and a KKR star has been sporadically used and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has asked him to join the rest of the T20 World Cup squad in Abu Dhabi today (October 10). Another Bangladeshi cricketer in IPL 2021, Mustafizur Rahman, who plays for Rajasthan Royals, will also join the WC camp today.
“Mustafizur and Shakib will join us in the UAE. We are travelling to Abu Dhabi later today for two practice matches,” a BCB official had told InsideSport.
Bangladesh will play two warm-up matches in Abu Dhabi against Sri Lanka and Ireland on October 12 and 14 before heading back to Oman for their T20 World Cup first-round matches.
