RCB vs CSK Head-To-Head: The past record in numbers
The past seasons of the league were very different for both of these teams, as CSK sealed the title five-times while RCB is yet to win their maiden IPL title after playing fifteen seasons. Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore have played a total of 31 IPL matches against each other. CSK have won majority of the matches defeating RCB on 20 occasions. RCB have managed 10 wins and one match was called off due to rain.
The first match between RCB and CSK was played during IPL 2008, in which Chennai defeated RCB by 13 runs in Bangaluru. Bangalore won three back to back matches against CSK between 2009 to 2010. However, they did not have many laughs apart from that. Chennai also defeated Bangalore in the final to win their first IPL title in 2012.
The last match between the Royal Challengers and the Super Kings was played during IPL 2022 in which RCB defeated Chennai by 13 runs. Harshal Patel claimed three wickets for RCB for 35 runs and became the player of the match.
The upcoming fixture between the two teams is expected to be a cracker. The M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangaluru is all set for the battle.
