The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have decided to practice for the upcoming IPL 2024 season by going against Sussex. The county side, which features premier fast bowler Jofra Archer, is currently preparing for the upcoming County Championship that will begin on April 5.
Before the start of their summer, Sussex decided to come to Bangalore for a camp. Their pace spearhead, Archer, had previously played for a Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) XI against his side just a couple of days ago. Now, it seems like both teams have decided to practice before the start of their respective seasons.
In the video uploaded by an RCB fan account, skipper Faf du Plessis, Rajat Patidar, and their star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell were all in action against Sussex. The practice match was held on March 16, just six days before their season opener against the Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
However, one thing that might upset RCB fans’s hopes is the absence of Virat Kohli. Their former skipper has yet to join the team and hasn’t played a match since January 17. Coming to the T20 arena after a long gap of two months, it’ll be fascinating to see whether the star batter can fire for the franchise from the get-go.
