RCB players who excelled after leaving franchise
Quinton de Kock
Dasher Quinton de Kock played for Royal Challengers Bengaluru back in 2018 and did well. However, in one of the most shocking, and poor moves by RCB, they decided to trade de Kock away to Mumbai Indians ahead of the 2019 edition. The move paid off instantly for MI as de Kock helped them win two consecutive trophies in 2019 and 2020. Currently, De Kock is representing LSG in IPL 2024.
Travis Head
Travis Head unleashed the carnage against his former franchise RCB on Monday, whom he represented for two years from 2016 to 2017. He was then released by RCB after the side had a horrific run in the 2017 edition. That particular stint with RCB was his previous and only stint in the IPL before he made a comeback in the ongoing season.
Heinrich Klaasen
Another current SRH batter who previously represented RCB, Heinrich Klaasen has turn out be a sensational player in the IPL. Klaasen made his debut for Rajasthan in 2018 but was purchased by RCB next year. However, Klaasen could not do well for the Red Army and was released in the next edition. The right-handed batter joined the Orange Army in IPL 2023.
Yuzvendra Chahal
One of the most shocking releases in IPL history, Yuzvendra Chahal was one of the most important RCB player before he was released. After his release from RCB, Chahal was purchased by Rajasthan Royals for IPL 2022. Chahal delivered straightaway as he won the purple cap (Most wickets) during that edition.
KL Rahul
KL Rahul started his IPL career with RCB back in 2013. However, the right-handed batter was released in the next edition of the IPL. Rahul then went on to play for Sunrisers Hyderabad before joining the Punjab Kings. In IPL 2022, Rahul was named as the skipper for the Lucknow Super Giants.
Rahul Dravid
Rahul Dravid started his IPL career with RCB. However, the talisman soon joined Rajasthan Royals and showed his caliber in the 20-over format. Dravid opened the innings for Rajasthan and played several impactful knocks which was missing when he was a part of the Bengaluru camp.
