RCB players seek blessings at Siddhivinayak Mandir amidst IPL 2024 struggles

RCB are at 9th position in the IPL 2024 table with only one win from 5 encounters

Ahead of their IPL 2024 encounter against the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium on April 11, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) players, including Mahipal Lamror, Karn Sharma, Vyshak Vijayakumar, and Suyash Prabhudesai, embarked on a visit to the renowned Shree Siddhivinayak Mandir in Mumbai.

The RCB squad, fresh off their fifth match of the season against the Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur, which ended in a defeat, took a brief respite from training to seek blessings at the Siddhivinayak Mandir.

Mahipal Lomror shared a glimpse of their visit on his Instagram story, where Vyshak, Karn, Suyash, and himself were captured inside the premises of the temple, paying reverence to Lord Ganesha.

RCB’s poor run in IPL 2024

Royal Challengers Bengaluru have encountered a challenging campaign, managing only one victory out of five matches played thus far in the IPL 2024 season. Their journey began on a sour note with a loss to the Chennai Super Kings in the tournament opener.

However, the team, led by Faf du Plessis, found redemption with a triumph over the Punjab Kings, fueled by a stellar performance from Virat Kohli, who crafted a match-winning innings of 77 runs from 49 balls while chasing a target of 177 runs. Subsequently, RCB suffered three consecutive defeats against the Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants, and Rajasthan Royals.

In their recent match against the Rajasthan Royals, Kohli’s heroic century, comprising 113 runs off 72 deliveries, propelled RCB to a competitive total of 183/3. Nonetheless, despite Kohli’s valiant effort, RCB’s bowlers faltered against the onslaughts of Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson, as RR successfully chased down the target of 184 runs with four balls to spare.
