With a 16-year quest for the coveted trophy, the Bangalore-based franchise is eager for a breakthrough.

Another addition to RCB’s prized Class of 2024 had a very special connection with Virat Kohli as Swapnil Singh was a probable for the U19 Indian team that was to travel to Malaysia. However, fast forward 15 years and he will be donning the Red and Gold threads as RCB roped him in for his base price of INR 20 lakh.

The Kiwi Express, Lockie Ferguson is coming to Bengaluru as RCB roped him in without any resistance whatsoever for his base price of INR 2 crore.

English all-rounder, Tom Curran went to RCB. Without any opposition whatsoever, the medium fast bowler went to Royal Challengers Bangalore for his base price of INR 1.50 crore.

Following his noteworthy performances in the domestic cricket scene, the Royal Challengers secured the talented youngster for a notable INR 5 crore after a fierce bidding war, particularly against his former franchise, the Gujarat Titans.

In a surprising turn of events, Sunrisers Hyderabad emerged victorious in the bidding war for Australian pace sensation, Pat Cummins. While RCB generated considerable buzz around Cummins, it was Sunrisers Hyderabad who had the final say, securing the towering Aussie for a staggering INR 20.50 crore. This monumental amount sets a new record as the highest ever bid for an individual player in IPL history.

Royal Challengers Bangalore bolster pace bowling contingent in IPL 2024 Auction

Royal Challengers Bangalore were the highlight of the IPL trade window securing the most expensive IPL transfer in history by acquiring Cameron Green from the Mumbai Indians (MI). In addition to the high-profile transfer, RCB participated in swaps, sending Shahbaz Ahmed to Sunrisers Hyderabad and acquiring Mayank Dagar.

RCB have strategically released several quality pacers, both Indian and overseas, including Harshal Patel, Josh Hazlewood, David Willey, Wayne Parnell, and Siddharth Kaul.
