RCB beat RR, IPL 2021: Kumar Sangakkara says, ‘We need to finish our innings with the bat’
Speaking at the post-match conference, Bharat shed light on the experience of playing alongside AB de Villiers, Glenn Maxwell and Virat Kohli.
“Definitely, when you play with Virat bhai, ABD and Maxwell, you tend to learn a lot of good things about cricket and how to handle in and out of cricket. Coming back to this innings, me and Maxwell were having conversations about the areas that we could access, boundary options, doubles and singles and how many overs who is going to bowl and what are his lengths. Discussing pure tactical things in the centre and it really came out well,” Srikar Bharat said.
He also spoke about the challenges of keeping to RCB ace spinner Yuzvendra Chahal.
“He is a world-class spinner, he varies his pace exceptional well. You have to be right in the game every ball. You can’t fade off even for a single moment. So, I just trying to keep myself in the game and read from his hand. The lines and lengths he bowls, you just got to be in the game. Just try to enjoy the sport.”
