RCB among franchises to troll Pakistan’s boring batting in IND vs PAK Champions Trophy match

Pakistan played 111 dot balls in their first 198 balls of the ICC Champions Trophy match vs India.

The India vs Pakistan matches started in a weird fashion as Mohammed Shami dished out five wides and bowled 11 deliveries in the opening over. Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq looked in decent touch before magical moments brought India back in the game. Hardik Pandya nicked one off Azam’s bat and gave a send-off before Axar Patel hit a bullseye to cut short Imam’s comeback. However, what followed was a sedate period, with fans getting bored of the defensive tactic by Pakistani batters, Saud Shakeel and captain Mohammad Rizwan.

IPL teams troll Pakistan’s batting

Following the dismissal of Imam, Rizwan and Shakeel managed to muster just 47 runs at a poor run rate of 3.35. While the Dubai pitch didn’t offer something extra to either side, Rizwan and Shakeel didn’t take enough risks as well. Jumping upon the craze of the match, a few Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises trolled Pakistan. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) tweeted about Pakistan’s slow run rate between overs 10-20. Meanwhile, the Punjab Kings (PBKS) also had their thoughts to share as they tweeted a meme off a Bollywood movie, “Wanted”. Watch the reactions below.

Saud Shakeel deserves his flowers

While Rizwan received his flak for playing a sluggish knock (46 off 77), Saud Shakeel played a delightful innings. He negotiated the spin attack quite well, and showed up with a much-needed knock. He was under pressure but made a vital 62 off 76 balls that included 5 boundaries.
