Ravindra Jadeja to get first taste of competitive cricket in Duleep Trophy after T20 World Cup

Duldeep Trophy: The tournament will be a good time for Ravindra Jadeja to get back into the groove, after the T20 World Cup break.

The squads for the Duleep Trophy are out and most of the high-profile names from the Indian setup will be playing the tournament. One of the them is all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who found a place in the Team B of the competition, under the leadership of Abhimanyu Easwaran. This will be the first time that Jadeja will be playing competitive cricket after India’s T20 World Cup triumph in June.

The Duleep Trophy that is scheduled to start from September 5, 2024 in Anantpur, Andhra Pradesh, and M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, will serve as a comeback of sorts for the veteran all-rounder. It is important to note that Jadeja was not part of the ODI squad in IND vs SL series.

Team B will also see Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sarfaraz Khan, Rishabh Pant, and Musheer Khan fight it out for the prestigious tournament. As far as the other teams are concerned, Shubman Gill will lead Team A, followed by Ruturaj Gaikwad for Team C, and Shreyas Iyer for Team D. Meanwhile, the players selected for the IND vs BAN series, will be duly replaced.
