Ravindra Jadeja was considering retiring from Test cricket to prolong his white-ball career as per reports on Tuesday. Jadeja has struggled with injuries over the last 12 months and had to sit out of the home series against England earlier this year. Since then he has feaured in the IPL 2021, India’s tour of England, T20 World Cup, and the home series against New Zealand before a forearm injury ruled him out of India’s tour of South Africa.

However, Ravindra Jadeja has asked his fans to not pay heed to those reports with two cryptic social media posts, suggesting that he is here to stay. Jadeja first posted an image that read a quote, “Fake friends believe in rumours. Real friends believe in you.” The CSK star followed it up with a picture of him donning the Indian test jersey, with the caption “Long way to go” brushing aside all reports suggesting his retirement.
