Ravindra Jadeja provides an update on Jasprit Bumrah’s fitness, says this before ICC Champions Trophy

Catch what Ravindra Jadeja had to say about Jasprit Bumrah & his fitness update before the ICC Champions Trophy.

So, the time is near. The countdown has begun for a major update on Jasprit Bumrah as the star pacer has completed his scans and assessment at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Benglauru a couple of days back. Now, key Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has shared an update on Bumrah’s fitness. Jadeja has starred in the ongoing one-day international series, picking six wickets at an average of 10.17.

Ravindra Jadeja on Jasprit Bumrah

Ravindra Jadeja attended the post-match press conference following India’s series-clinching ODI win in Cuttack against England. While Jadeja did his magic with the ball, it was Rohit Sharma’s heroic century that laid the platform. Following the game, Jadeja was asked about Bumrah’s availability for the ICC Champions Trophy, to which Jadeja replied:

“It’s not my department. It’s the job of the medical department; they’re following up. Hopefully, he gets fit. It will be a huge boost for us. It is good for the whole country as well, not only for our team.” Following the assessment of scans, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will take a call on his availability for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy.

Jasprit Bumrah, please get fit in time!

The injury woes of Jasprit Bumrah are giving Indian cricket fans some serious anxiety! After putting his body on the line during the Border Gavaskar Trophy, Bumrah’s heroic efforts have taken a toll on his fitness. With the ICC Champions Trophy just around the corner, the clock is ticking for Bumrah to recover in time. The BCCI has less than two days to decide whether to stick with Bumrah or bring in a replacement. If he’s not fully fit, it’s crucial that he’s not rushed back into action. Harshit Rana and Varun Chakravarthy are waiting in the wings, ready to step in if needed.
