India Cricket Team has been hit with a freaky injury. Ace batter and captain, Suryakumar Yadav suffered an ankle injury and limped away to the dugout in the IND vs SA 3rd T20I. Ravindra Jadeja made his T20I captaincy debut as SKY needed attention from the India Medical Team.
The incident took place in the third over of the match. While chasing a ball outside of the ring, SKY slipped and rolled over his ankle while throwing the ball back to the stumps. He immediately went off the field and continued to grimace in pain as the Indian physios attended him.

He failed to return soon to the ground as Ravindra Jadeja who was the vice-captain of the team, made his captaincy debut in the shortest format of the game. It is to be noted that Jadeja has an extremely poor captaincy in T20s.
The latest example would be the IPL 2022 stint. Ahead of the Indian Premier League 2022 MS Dhoni handed the captaincy to Ravindra Jadeja. But it was a terrible stint for the CSK star who continued to be a poor captain. He captained the side for 5 matches, winning once and losing the other 4 matches before being injured.
With a poor winning record of 20%, he managed to score just 66 runs with a highest score of 26* runs. However, India determined to exact revenge after the loss in the previous game, it is highly unlikely that Jadeja will lose the match on his T20I captaincy debut.
