With Will Young and Daryl Mitchell battling for 150 deliveries, India found themselves on the backfoot in the ongoing third Test at the Wankhede Stadium. However, Ravindra Jadeja, like as he do, brought India back into the game with a masterful spell of spin bowling. The Mumbai wicket, despite not being a rank-turner, offered decent amount of spin.
Jadeja show in IND vs NZ 3rd Test!
Jaddu utilised his skill and induced an edge off Young’s bat, who walked back after making a superb 71. Jadeja, who took wickets across just two of the four innings in this series, was once again in his element. That disciplined bowling and constant attack on stumps heckled the New Zealand innings, that was going well till an hour past lunch.
In the same over when he got Young, Jadeja bowled an absolute jaffer to send Tom Blundell packing. Despite the Kiwi keeper being a good player of spin, he saw the ball pitch around the leg-stump to go and hit straight on top of the offstump. In less than 10 overs, the CSK icon went past Glenn Phillips’ bat and had his third.

Jadeja scripts history for India!
With his third of the day, Jaddu not only marched India with their noses ahead in the game but got to a special individual landmark. Yes, with Philipps scalp, Jadeja went past the likes of Ishant Sharma (311) and Zaheer Khan (311) to become the fifth-highest wicket-taker of India in Test cricket history.
As of writing, Jadeja has now earned 312 wickets at an amazing bowling average of 24.08 and at a SR of 57.6. With his mastery in spin bowling, he has claimed 14 five-wicket hauls and a couple of 10-wicket hauls in a match as well. India won’t mind Jadeja having his third 10-fer in this match itself!
