Ravindra Jadeja has become the first player in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) to have the double of 3000 runs and 100 wickets. The all-rounder achieved the feat in the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on March 28, 2025.
In his 242nd match of the IPL, Jadeja crossed the 3000-run mark. The all-rounder already had 160 wickets to his name, and by scoring 25 runs against RCB, he got to the milestone.
Four digit runs & three digit wickets club in IPL
Players with 3000 runs and 100 wickets: Ravindra Jadeja
Players with 2000 runs and 100 wickets: Ravindra Jadeja and Andre Russell
Players with 1000 runs and 100 wickets: Ravindra Jadeja, Andre Russell, Dwayne Bravo, Axar Patel and Sunil Narine
The next best on the list is Andre Russell. The West Indian still needs 512 runs to reach the double that Jadeja has. Given how Russell’s last two IPL seasons have gone, he might be able to achieve the milestone in 2027. That is if his body allows it.
Axar Patel might just beat Jadeja’s record in the future. He’s 31 and can play for another five years. At this trajectory (1675 runs and 123 wickets), he could go past his senior all-rounder.
But this isn’t the only record Jadeja has. He also has more than 100 catches in the IPL, 105 to be exact. Jadeja also has the seventh most runs, 2095; the second most wickets, 142; and the second most catches for CSK, 90.
