Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin gave a soft warning to South Africa all-rounder Marco Jansen for backing too much during Day 3 of IND vs SA 1st Test in Centurion.
The incident happened in the 98th over of the innings. Ravichandran Ashwin stopped his bowling action in the fifth delivery after Jansen left his crease prematurely.
Ashwin did’t say anything and went back to deliver the fifth ball of the over.

Notably, this is not the first time Ashwin was involved in incident related to ‘Mankad’. In 2012, Ashwin had run out Sri Lanka’s Lahiru Thirimanne after he was backing up too far.
He did the same in 2019 and ran-out Rajasthan Royals’ Jos Buttler for leaving the crease early.
Talking about the ongoing Boxing Day Test, India have fought back after brilliant knocks from Dean Elgar and Marco Jansen. Shardul Thakur dismissed Dean Elgar on 185, while Ashwin removed Gerald Coetzee. Marco Jansen, with an unbeaten 72, is still at the crease with the hosts extending the lead to 147 runs.
