Rashid Khan pulls out of Big Bash League yet again: Reports

Big Bash League: Afghanistan Cricket Team star Rashid Khan pulls out of Big Bash League for second year citing hectic cricketing schedule

Afghanistan ace cricketer Rashid Khan reportedly won’t be a part of the Big Bash League. For a second year running, Rashid won’t be part of the BBL auction after having opted himself out of the draft. The Big Bash League auction is slated to take place on 1st September.

Reports claim that Rashid Khan won’t be a part of the Premier T20 League due to hectic schedule of the Afghanistan national team. The Afghans are slated to plat 2 Test matches, 3 ODIs and 3 T20I matches against Zimbabwe later this year. Furthermore, Rashid has his commitments in the SA20 league as well.

No Rashid Khan in BBL?

Currently injured, Rashid also missed the second half of The Hundred. And now with so much matches left to play, Rashid has opted himself out of the Big Bash League. The star all-rounder has been plagued with a back injured after the ODI World Cup following which he missed action for 4 months.

Back last year, Rashid Khan had his objections against Cricket Australia. This was mainly directed after CA criticized Afghanistan after Taliban’s rule in restricting freedom for women. As a result, Rashid decided to pull out of the Big Bash League. And now he is unwilling to play owing to a hectic schedule that lies before him.
